The sun glistens over the horizon turning the waves into smoldering ashes. I breathe in the saline water that tingles my face, a strange calmness overcoming me.
The sun will soon be submerged in the endless torrent that was washing the shore and caressing my feet.
Today, I stand independent; excess baggage has been shed and I shall no longer allow others to manipulate me. After what feels like hours, I finally head towards home, tomorrow is going to be a brand new day.

DeleteAaah! Only if someone knows how much I love such a scene. And I'm pretty much eager to taste such strange calmness which your soul just described ;)
ReplyDeleteThat independent girl has always fascinated me. When she finally heads back home with all that she has acquired and gained it is evident that it is going to be a brand new day and when the sun finally remerges, it will be a brand new beginning!
P.S. That picture has already hooked me and I'm raring to walk on those cold sands of beaches with my bare feet especially under the light of a full moon :)
That girl is an inspiration to all of us, right? Thanks so much Stranger :) I love reading your comments!
DeleteI hope you are able to have that moon light walk soon :)
Now that's the spirit! Love this story :-)
