She sat by the woods and wrote
In her tattered journal
A magical fairy tale
Of pixies and gnomes
Of princes and princesses
Of wicked queens and dragons
As spring showered her with
Yellow daffodils
That brought the fragrance
Of a childhood gone by.
Writing gave her wings
To take her places unseen.
She created and destroyed
All with a flick of her pen
The woods were her secret place
Her cocoon where she hid
From a world which she felt lost
And it was only the Yellow daffodils
That witnessed this all.
This poem was written for Write Tribe's 100 words on Saturday.
