A birthday wish

It was Stacy's fifteenth birthday. Her favorite chocolate cake was here, so were her friends and gifts. When it was time to blow out the candles, she closed her eyes and wished fervently for the one thing she wanted the most in the world- her parents by her side. As she  blew out the candles and opened her eyes, her wish came true. In the form of two glittery wrapped parcels sent by her parents from two corners of the world.

  1. Awww. So sweet.
At least she got her parents' gifts. Modern life is such that parents are away during their child's b'day party:(

    1. But that robs them of the two most important people in their lives :( Parents should make time for children when they are growing up!

    1. Thanks so much, Ankita! Indeed, children are the ones wounded most in the tug of war between parents.

    1. Yes, children coming from broken families are deeply affected later on in life as well.

  7. I feel pity for her and children like her. A child needs so much love and attention, why could possibly be more important than her for the parents?

    1. That's true Soumyaa. Some parents are busy securing the kids life that they forget the most important things. Thank you :)
