Child of Sin

He was a child of sin. They called him a bastard. His childhood was a blur of different men and his mother's drinking binges. When he was ten, his neighbors called him a thief. And when he turned twenty, he was caught for shoplifting. By thirty, he was in prison awaiting his trial for murder.

P.S. This is my first attempt in writing 55 Fiction, a try at telling a story in just 55 words.

This post is written for Day 23 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge for July 2014 and NaBloPoMo

  2. Aathira, your fingers did express many things with out actually expressing them in words.
I think while writing 55 word fictions, you should add an unexpected twist or even some mystery. That way you can you can unleash your large potential. :)

/*Scratching my head and thinking whether why I didn't get such talking fingers--*/

    1. Thanks a lot, Soum! It is a disturbing fact that many children are forced to face the cruel brunt of society's jokes. Certain wounds, especially inflicted during childhood, are hard to heal.
