Fireworks

It's new year's eve
And I'm out with friends
Watching the fireworks
Light up the night sky

We were so over
Yet why can't I stop
Thinking about you
Or your love

This was supposed
To be a new beginning
Yet it feels like
A final goodbye

Watching the colors fade
The yellow, red and blue
Until all that's left is plain black
And the smoke lingering around

  1. Nice one Aathira :) For every new beginning there has to be a final goodbye :)

  2. I specially liked the last para, Aathira. The specific heed you've given the object in each paragraph brings out the entire post very well :)

  9. Sometimes the beginning seems like the end, and sometimes it is the other way round, isn't it ? Nicely woven !

  10. That was incredibly awesome!
I’ve fallen for the Philosophy which you expressed so beautifully in your last stanza. The cycle of transitions; from beginning to the end and in the end how it ends. Sigh!
